But the plastic plate I need to take out to access the fuel tank is sealed with silicone. Now I took all the silicone away and of course unscrewed the plate. But it still does not open and I do not want to risk breaking it. Would someone please have a tip for me? Paultron Svart 13.Juni.2016 Emnestarter Link til dette innlegget Svart 13.Juni.2016 Hei, Meanwhile I solved my problem. So I am sharing it with the community. The tools I have used: . Hammer . Silikonfjerner fra Biltema . Minibrekkjern fra Biltema . Brytebladkniv First I selected 1 of the 4 corners. Then I used the brytebladkniv to cut the silicon joint and remove as much as I could on the 2 sides of that corner. Second I put a lot of siliconfjerner around the corner. Third I put the screw that was initially holding the plastic plate, but only half way. Then the hard part was to, simultaneously, pull on the screw with a hammer and lift the plate near the corner with the brekkjern. After around 30min the plate finally came loose and I could lift it open. The bensintank was right under it. I then unscrewed the gauge sensor and, yes, there was definitely water at the bottom of the tank. I pumped it out. Next steps: Repair the small area that I have damaged near the corner of the plastic plate (I never fixed gelcoat before, so I am going to learn that) I will put the plastic plate back on and seal it, just using much less silicon and avoid putting a lot of silicon underneath the plate, which made it very difficult to lift Find a solution for the teak plate that was initially sitting on top of the plastic plate: Buy a new one (I don't know where) Make a new one (but then I need to replace all 3 teak plates) Quick fix the old & partially broken one Some pictures below, I will keep you updated with the progress.
