FM L-2 fit in Luna 19 ?

It is a long time ago, since I was here at baatplassen (the best Boat forum on this Planet )

 

I do have a FM L-2 and now a bought myself a danish Luna 19. I got it very cheap because the engine was broken. The last engine inside was a 10HP Volvo Penta. I guess originally there was a 5 or 10 HP Marstal gasoline engine inside.

The question is, if also my FM L-2 would fit inside. From the measurements it would be ok. but the FM weights 100 kg more.

I guess at least the engine mount should be reinforced to carry the weight but is the L-2 not to big as such?

 

i would be thankful for some hinds from the profis.

I dont know anything about your engine or the hull. Do you know the weight of the largest engine this boat was delivered with? And what HP or KW rating it was and the same for your FM-L2? I am guessing the kilos arent the only thing to consider, but also the torque generated. I would strengthen a bit if torque and / or weight is increased compared to largest (weight / Kw / torque) delivered by original engine option, but someone else here might have more "hands on" experience with this boat, the engines, or in general than me :)
