That would be strange but possible.

My engine are different instead  of a D6 i have 2 x 8.1LV8 That is also tight.
i could only remove the engine when i removed the drives.  this way i got some clearance in height..

And after removing the filters the was just enough room to make a turn to get them out.

The engine cover had to be removed totally including the bolts of the cylinder suspension.

I dont know how your oil pan is situated. I hope it helps.
