@BingoBonzo Her er litt stoff klippet fra Workshop Manual Group 30 Electrical system B 2(0) Volvo Penta IPS EVC-C som jeg hadde på forrige båten med IPS500.
Hele EVC-systemet er Volvos versjon av en amerikansk standard SAE J1939, dvs CAN BUS-system bygget opp med en rekke felles koder. Her er litt om dine koder.
MID = “Message Identification Description” The MID consists of a number which designates the control unit that sent the fault code message. (e.g. the engine control unit).
MID 250 = Servo Unit Steering (SUS).
SID = “Subsystem Identification Description”: The SID consists of a number that designates a component to which the fault code relates (tachometer, for example).
PSID = “Proprietary SID”: The same as the SID, but this is a Volvo-specific component.

FMI = Failure Mode Indicator
FMI 10 = Abnormally large variations. Detects integrity failure in communication message from active SHCU.
FMI 10 Requested rudder angle between the two drive lines deviates.
Fault indication
Warning is displayed in the tachometer/display. A red lamp flashes in the alarmpanel + audible warning.
Symptom
No steering function (both SUS units locked). Boat in lowspeed mode.

Conditions for fault code
If valid sync data from other sides drive train and it deviates with steering wheel position more than (± 5 degrees).

Change steering wheel unit.

1) If error constantly appears at low speed, check SUS and gear.
2) If error temporarily appears at high speed, let SUS cool off.
I verste fall er det en reell feil, i beste fall kun en sensorfeil som er trigget av spenningsfall. Feilkoden indikerer at det er en for stor avstand i to verdier. Det kan da være at din PSID er drevene og at systemet indikerer en for stor ulikhet i vinkel mellom disse. (gjetning) eller at det ulik vinkel på drev i forhold til innstilling på styreenhet (rattet muligens).
