My question is: What is the best methode for conserving a old diesel, to prevent further detoriation of the engine? With kind regards, Pascal Sitér dette innlegget Link to post

Take out thr start cigarette holder, and give it 5-6 pumps of oil into the cylinder. Then take off the valve cover on top, and oil the valve mechanism thoroughly. Turn the engine round with the decompression handle open a few turns to distribute the oil. If you want to do even more, spray the outside of the engine with for instance CRC's 6-66.
