Does somebody know the oil capacity and the oil specification of the gearbox of a FM Type L-2 ?

 

Whar kind of motor Oil am I allowed to use. SAE30 in Summer and SAE 20 in Winter or is also a normal 15W40 suitable?

Hi

I don't know the exact capacity of the gear box, but don't fill it full, not even half full. When it comes to motor oil, stick to single grade. SAE 30 should do fine in the summer time. I suppose you can use the SAE 30 in the gear box as well. These engines are robust constructions and are not so particular about what kind of oil they get.

Another question.

 

The flywheel nut hat 49,6 mm in diameter or 1,95 inch. What type of wrench has this size?

 

The metric No. 50 would be to big, the 2 inch also. The companies I asked had no idea?
