I am not sure if this is required for hydraulic steeing, but it doesent hurt to keep it as an extra security item... JRK Svart 19.Mars.2010 Link til dette innlegget Svart 19.Mars.2010 Hi, The chain should be there anyway. It is there to prevent the rudder to turn into the propeller. If you have high speed on a boat in the reverse direction, the piston from the steering cylinder may break of if you turn the rudder to one of its endpoint. If it is a big rudder blade, there will be big forces on the steering cylinder Sitér dette innlegget Link to post
