English: Suzuki 9.9c will only start with fueltank disconnected

Good morning. Sorry but writing on the iPhone so not so easy for me too write Norwegian.

 

Have a Suzuki 9.9c that has been working great up too yesterday. Suddenly on full throttle it just stopped. Half tank of fuel. So tried starting it over and over. Not starting at all. Removed the fuel tank. Few pulls of the cord and it started and run fine. Connected the fuel line and in seconds it stopped. ??? Tried starting again. Nothing. Removed the fuel line. Few pulls later and it was running great again. Attached line and it stopped. Very strange. Any ideas what it could be? Did mix two typed of fuel together with different oil types. Both for two stroke engines but different manufacturers. Could it be too much oil?

Hi, please edit the subject according to forum policies, should be something like: Suzuki 9.9 startproblemer.

To your question.

 

1. check the venting cap on the tank, also check the fuel line for cracks or wear (also the pump). If possible try with a different tank and fuel line.

Other possibilites are clogged jets in the carburator caused by old petrol/oil mix.

Best to replace the petrol you are running on now with a fresh mix.
