For the benefit of my English speaking friends I will be posting in English. This summer we went to Holland to pick up our "new"boat. It is a modern long range cruising boat made by the well known Stentor shipyard. The model name of the boat is "Stentor 1500 Pilot" Material is steel both hull and superstructure . We named her Quest. We spent some time in Holland prior to departure changing the anodes from Aluminum to Zink and painting the bottom and in general getting to know the boat. We started the crossing of the North Sea on Aug 5 th from Textel the plan was to head for Stavanger but we ended up making a stop in Esbjerg due to bad weather. We finally made it to Bodo on Aug 20 th. Weather in the North sea was rough despite reasonable forecasts . Once we past Stavanger we had a very nice trip along the coast. We plan to use the boat summer and winter and we plan to post some pictures as we go along. We will start with some from the summer in Holland and the trip home.

Some details of the boat she is equipped with a 6 cylinder Perkins of 190 HK fuel capacity is 4200 liters /water 2000 liters She has a range of 3000 nm +  She has active stabilizer that is very efficient practically no rolling. She has a 12 kw generator further 1200 amph service batteries. For those interested in steel boats Holland is the place to look.We had a very positive experience with very professional and friendly people both the brokers and in the shipyard
