I have a tresfjord 29 boat and would like to mount a webasto. problem because I don't know where to mount it and where to take the exhaust. Can anyone have a boat with webasto mounted to tell how it works and where to mount it. Sorry for my broken english.

Hi!

There are a many possible locations and depends on what space is used already for other accessories and a lot more =)

In my boat there is a Eberspæcher air heater, probably very similar to the Webasto.

Its mounted inside/under the cabinet on port side in the front cabin.

The locker has some minor modifications for this.

Exhaust and air intake is mounted behind the cabinets rear wall.

The rear wall inside the locker is moved about 15 cm to starboard( or towards the door in the locker) to make room for hoses for exhaust and fresh air intake.

Heater unit is placed under the cabinet and is accessible thru lifting up the hinged button on the cabinet.

Just ahead of the cabinet there use to be a few drawers under the bench/sofa. They are removed and replace with a board of teak.

Inside the bench/sofa is a 20L fuel tank of the same type used with smaller outboard engines.

But its also possible to connect to the main fuel tank.

Or under the seats starbord side in front cabin.

Another option should be to mount it just to the right of the helm.

But i think it will be too much noise so close to driver.

Maybe also room to mount it over and outside of the freshwater tank but not very accessible behind the cabinet in the galley.

Would also be room in the hatch under the table behind the galley

Thank you for answer.

I'm thinking of mounting it right into the engine room. But I'm worried about an instalation  for the exhaust. I'm afraid if I put the exhaust on the side and not on the back of the boat the smoke entering in the cabin.

Can you send me some picture of how you have it resolve and instal them in the boat to my Email. andrej412@gmail.com

I can see if I find the time to take pictures after the weekends if it’s something specific you have in mind.
But there’s really not much to show.

I would rather recommend reading the general install instructions from Eberspächer. They’re  very good with lots of general information.
I have no knowledge to Webasto documentation but be sure to read that too. :)
Installation can be done by non professionals but do the homework to minimizing  the risks and getting the most out of it.

Regarding the risk for carbon monoxide poisoning , there’s always a risk for it regardless of how you install it.
So be sure to install gas alarm in both front and aft cabin.
