Martininello Startet 24.April.2024 Link til dette innlegget Startet 24.April.2024 Hello, finally I'm owner of a Myra 21 built in 1971. She needs a little help, but I'm looking forward to this project. Unfortunately one of the previous owners was not very kind to her. The pantry was torn out. I would love to rebuild the galley, but have no idea how it looked originally. Any picture or ideas how I should proceed is highly appreciated. The folding table which covers the engine sports a metal plate which hold obviously the support. The support is missing! Can you tell me how it looked? Where should I check for used parts? I know it is a far stretch since Myra Plast is long out of business, but I hope to find some help in this forum. Kind regards Martin Sitér dette innlegget Link to post
pappa_wolf Svart 25.April.2024 Link til dette innlegget Svart 25.April.2024 Hello and welcome onboard. If my memory serves me correct, you should be looking for what looks like a an old tent pole. You could modify an existing one, or build your own. Sitér dette innlegget Link to post
Martininello Svart 25.April.2024 Emnestarter Link til dette innlegget Svart 25.April.2024 Thanks! You are right! The tip should look like a nail or something. I'm not sure about the base which rests on the deck. The table is quite heavy! A photo of the original galley would be nice. Any Myra 21 owners or ex-owners? Sitér dette innlegget Link to post

Martininello Svart 26.Oktober Emnestarter Link til dette innlegget Svart 26.Oktober (redigert) Update! Good day, After a long, enforced break, I was able to devote again a few weeks to my Myra 21. Finally I took her for the first test drive to our local water. Overall, it was a pleasant experience without any serious problems. The 3YM20 ran smoothly, no wonder with 125 hours of operation. The selfmade galley proved to be very useful. My only concerns were with the tiller. Perhaps you can give me some advice? Someone recently attached a piece of garden hose with a pipe clamp under the tiller bracket. Perhaps to prevent water from entering, or to raise the rudder post? My question: Was there a bearing under the tiller bracket? The same question arises regarding the pins on the rudder itself. Were there bearings or washers there? The rudder is quite hard to move with the steering cable removed. What's the easiest way to dissemble the rudder? The tiller bracket is held in place by a bolt. What kind of maintenance do you recommend? Photos attached. Cheers Martin Redigert 26.Oktober av Martininello Update (see edit history) Sitér dette innlegget Link to post
