Saga 20 1974, replace original MD2B with MD2020?

Hi all

This is my first post.

I have bought what I think is the only Saga 20 in the Shetland Islands.

The boat has been standing for at least 3 years.

What I am worried about is the state of the engine, its a Volvo Penta MD2B.

If the engine is no use, could I put a MD2020 in and would that mean a lot of fabrication?

I would like to hear from other owners to see what they have used.
