Enkeltline rev går tregt

På vår 28' seilbåt har vi enkeltline rev fra Seldén. Det går tregt. Systemet er et arrengement av trinser inne i bommen som gjør at når vi haler inn på revelinen, blir seilet trukket ned både i forkant og bakkant. Se figur: http://www.ha19.no/oktarin/rev.png. Alt kan gjøres fra cockpit. Glimrende.

 

Men det går tregt. Det går noenlunde greit å reve, når vi tar vinsjen til hjelp. Men når revet skal ristes løs, må vi rive og slite i revelinene. Vi lurer på hva årsaken er? Dårlige trinser i bommen? For grove reveliner? For slitte reveliner? Og hvordan det kan rettes?

Single line reefing, I 'm having considerable problems with friction when throwing out the reefs on my SY42, before I start dismantling the boom has anyone any experience?

 

You may find that the nylon "wheels" on the reefing line cars within the boom are worn out (common problem I understand). Get yourself some new ones before you start taking things apart!

 

Update on single line reefing problems. Took mine apart and sure enough, I had lost one of the nylon bearings that the plate holding the internal blocks sits on. I was going to replace these together with the blocks that fit on the outer end of the boom, the local agent advised that Selden had upgraded the kit since 2003 and now produced a composite slider. As I was going to replace the lines as well, I bit the bullet and bought the upgrade kit, £624!!!!! Result it works like a dream, I couldn't believe it, reef went in easily, but throwing it put was so smooth, headboard was back at the top of the mast before I knew it. It was expensive but £000's cheaper than changing to a roller boom, which I had looked at.

 

Jeg så på "Sweden Yacht Owners-gruppen på facebook at det var andre som hadde dette problemet. Har limt inn litt derfra.
