doctordre Svart 14.April.2015 Emnestarter Del på Facebook Svart 14.April.2015 with removing the antifouling, revealed another problem. Cleaning with thinner or remover, the blue coating became soft and started to blister. The blue coating was not gel coat but a two component paint. So now the whole backside have to be cleared from all the paint until the polyester is clear and a new gel coat have to be applied. But the rest continuous. It started to look like a boat again. doctordre Svart 3.Mai.2015 Emnestarter Del på Facebook Svart 3.Mai.2015 The transom is almost done. sanded everything till I go a flat surface. then filled the tiny irregularities with resin. and after some fine sanding, applied two layers gelcoat: Only applying the topcoat. Then ?Can I really finally start with the drive?? In the mean time also got my SRC. Sitér dette innlegget
doctordre Svart 17.Mai.2015 Emnestarter Del på Facebook Svart 17.Mai.2015 Unfortunately I am still not satisfied with the result of the aft. so it needs some additional work. in the mean time made some coverlids for the spoiler(targa bar) And the first version of the dash control panel. But I always get the feeling that I forget something. With the numerical keypad a code is send to engine controller. You can hot wire the whole ignition/key circuit but without the code the system does not start the engines. Since I have still old engines the Choke buttons are still necessary for me. The second screen, everybody can recognise. Sitér dette innlegget

doctordre Svart 1.Juni.2015 Emnestarter Del på Facebook Svart 1.Juni.2015 (redigert) Making progress with the tails with help of my brother. So it looks like it can happen by the end of this year. Also checked out how Lenco trimtabs control panel is connected. So here it is. the signals are quite easy to create. And also the searchlight SL135 jabsco under investigation. The control panel is not really a beauty, so the cable is cut and these are the connections yellow+/ blue- = clockwise yellow-/ blue+ = counter clockwise green+/ brown- = up green-/ brown+ = down Like the trim It is now integrated in the dash Redigert 1.Juni.2015 av doctordre (see edit history) Sitér dette innlegget
doctordre Svart 6.Juni.2015 Emnestarter Del på Facebook Svart 6.Juni.2015 Today replaced the steering bushings. Unfortunatly I didn't find a video, how to do it. Newones in is not a problem, but how to get the old one out. due to corrosion. But we managed. Of the seals, I never found the remains of it so they were really gone. doctordre Svart 26.Juni.2015 Emnestarter Del på Facebook Svart 26.Juni.2015 Sometimes it is one step forward then 2 steps back. So it was in this case. Both drives were set and ready. However I could not secure the steering rod. So I had to take everything off. It gave me just enough space to secure the steering rod. So now with a delay of a week or so the drives are completed including the pivot pin with its split pin. In between the old trims are replaced by lenco's electric trims. It has some advantage. there will be no oil leaks. and lesser a pump. I could say it is better for the environment but really.... with 2 x 7.4L engines....mmmm. Fantastic, have to follow this! Thanks guys. I always try to stretch the limits with what is possible. There are still so many ideas. like a -G-force measurement. -app for remote start/stop by mobile phone. -Fuel/Cruise control and measurement -?? So if you have ideas please write them down. I like to experiment. Sitér dette innlegget
Kenneth 81 Svart 8.Juli.2015 Del på Facebook Svart 8.Juli.2015 (redigert) NMEA2000 fuel flow meters would feed perfectly into the Raymarine plotter. As the plotter already has speed from it´s GPS, it can show fuel consumption as litres/nautical miles as well as litres/hour. And if you set it up with fuel capacity and tell it when you top the tanks, it´ll give you range based on remaning fuel and current consumption. Kenneth 81 Svart 8.Juli.2015 Del på Facebook Svart 8.Juli.2015 Add an NMEA2000 AD-converter to your fuel tank metres, or change to NMEA2000 fuel meters and the Raymarine should be able to estimate range based on actual fuel levels as well. Yes I have been thinking about that. If I do it I will be doing it without the Raymarine So I keep every task separate. Raymarine for radar and gps maps. My centre display would be ideal for estimate range. since I have already CANBUS message for fuel level, only the fuel flow is required together with speed which is also already a CANBUS message. With 2 engines I need two flow measurements. I saw that one is too small for the fuel consumption that could go up to 230 litres an hour with 2 engines full speed.
